What Else But Grace is a memoir about my thirty-five year boxing match with lupus, and the life lived anyway. The story is about my often misguided and frequently comic attempts to slowly acquire some grace. My dog, who is my partner on this journey, is named Grace. This is what might happen if – God forbid – Anne Lamott had lupus.
